Our Vision

To build a global movement where every girl, regardless of background, has the opportunity to explore and thrive in the world of technology.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and empower girls by making coding fun, accessible, and relevant. We aim to reach girls across the globe through hands-on classes, online content, and peer-led programs. By building a supportive community and offering free learning resources, we hope to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and nurture the next generation of women in tech.

Founder, Girls Do Code (GDC)

Hi, I'm the founder of Girls Do Code.

I started this initiative when I was just 10 years old, driven by a passion to make technology accessible and exciting for girls like me. What began as one-on-one Scratch programming sessions over Zoom with girls in my community has now evolved into a growing initiative based in the UAE, with our efforts reaching students in India, the UK, and KSA.

Over the years, I’ve designed and delivered coding curricula for both Scratch and Python. Along with my team, I have taught over 60 students through ECAs and private sessions, and over 1,000 students through online tutorials I created myself.

program called Code to Care, which empowers students to become teachers themselves and extend our mission to NGOs. I also organized an interschool online coding competition for GEMS Education schools, where primary and secondary school girls created Scratch projects around a theme given. Projects were reviewed first by the Girls Do Code team, and finalists were judged by an expert panel to select winners—giving students a creative platform to combine coding with environmental awareness.

Beyond competitions, I’ve set up coding clubs at school, created tech content for Instagram, and continued to evolve the program with a focus on consistency, community, and empowerment.

My work has been recognized through several honors, including the prestigious Diana Award. I’ve also been nominated for the GEMS STEM Leadership Award, and was a finalist for both the Sheikh Hamdan Award and the Sheikha Fatima Award. These recognitions reflect the passion and purpose behind Girls Do Code—and the collective impact our team continues to make.

I believe every girl should have the chance to explore technology and feel confident creating with it. Girls Do Code is my commitment to that belief, and I’m proud to lead a team of passionate changemakers who feel the same.
